| Police apprehends habitual offender in two theft cases in Baramulla; | | Cash and auto-rickshaw seized | Srinagar, October 28 (Scoop News)-In a significant action against property offences, Police in Baramulla have apprehended an accused involved in two theft cases registered at Police Station Pattan. The accused has been identified as Fahad Nazir Bhat alias Fahad Petrol son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Chiramgari Mohalla, Safakadal, Srinagar.
The accused is a habitual offender involved in case FIR No. 196/2026 and FIR No. 238/2026 of Police Station Pattan. During verification of the accused's antecedents, his involvement in 13 previous FIRs registered at various Police Stations in Srinagar.
The accused has been dealt with in accordance with the procedure established by law. Further investigation in both cases is in progress to establish all relevant facts and examine other aspects of the offences.
J&K Police reiterates its commitment to taking firm and lawful action against theft and other criminal activities, ensuring the protection of public property and maintaining peace and security.
