Describing the decision as timely and highly significant, Sharma said it comes in the aftermath of the recent floods in the Chashoti area of Atholi tehsil, which caused extensive damage to the road infrastructure and exposed the urgent need for a strong, reliable and all-weather road network in this remote Himalayan region.

Led by the President of Jatt Sabha and former Minister, Manjit Singh, the delegation met the Hon’ble LG and submitted the memorandum.
The memorandum demanded that OBC quota benefits for the Jatts of Jammu and Kashmir be taken up with the Central Government and extended to professional colleges and Central Government jobs across India.
