| J&K Police In Shopian Seized 01 Tipper & 03 Dumpers; Cases Registered | |
Srinagar, October 14 (Scoop News)-Continuing its sustained crackdown on illegal mining, Shopian Police seized three dumpers and one tipper involved in the unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals from different areas of the district.
During routine patrolling, a police party from Police Post Berthipora intercepted and seized one Dumper and one tipper while they were allegedly engaged in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals without valid royalty documents. In this connection, FIR No. 106/2026 registered at Police Station Keller under relevant provisions of law and investigations have been initiated.
In a similar action, police party from Police Post Wachi intercepted and seized two Dumpers involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals without mandatory permission. In this regard FIR No. 129/2026 under relevant provisions of law has been registered in Police Station Zainapora and investigation has been initiated.
Police reiterated its firm commitment to protecting the districts natural resources and taking strict legal action against individuals involved in illegal mining activities. The general public has been urged to cooperate with the police and report any such unlawful activities. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
