Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat – 100 Week Sankalp Abhiyan Organised


Leh, September 20 (Scoop News)-As part of the “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat” – 100 Week Sankalp Abhiyan, Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Leh, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, organised an awareness programme at Government ITI Leh on Sunday, 20 September 2026, with active participation of youth and students.

The programme commenced with Vande Mataram, followed by the National Anthem. The participants thereafter took the Nasha Mukt Yuva pledge, reaffirming their commitment to staying away from substance abuse and contributing towards creating a healthy and drug-free society.

As part of the awareness session, Youth Icon Mr Thinly joined the programme as a resource person and delivered an informative presentation on drug abuse, its harmful effects on individuals and society, prevention, and the importance of timely support and awareness. The presentation was followed by an interactive Question & Answer session, where the youth actively participated and raised questions related to substance abuse and its prevention.

The programme also included a creative engagement activity, wherein the participating youth expressed their thoughts and ideas on the theme of a Nasha Mukt Yuva through creative slogans, messages and ideas put on paper. The activity provided the youth an opportunity to express their commitment towards a drug-free society in their own creative way.

On the occasion, Mera Yuva Bharat, Leh presented a memento as a token of appreciation to Government ITI Leh for its valuable coordination and support in successfully conducting the youth-led initiative. The collaboration reflects the importance of educational institutions in engaging and empowering youth for meaningful community initiatives.

The programme highlighted the crucial role of young people in spreading awareness among their peers, families and communities and in becoming responsible ambassadors of the Nasha Mukt Bharat vision.

The event was organised by Mera Yuva Bharat, Leh, in coordination with Government ITI Leh, as part of the ongoing 100 Week Sankalp Abhiyan, aimed at encouraging youth participation in nation-building and promoting a healthy, responsible and drug-free generation.

Mera Yuva Bharat, Leh remains committed to empowering youth and providing them with meaningful opportunities to contribute towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
