J&K Police Books Notorious Drug Peddler Under PIT-NDPS Act In Anantnag

Srinagar, September 19 (Scoop News)-Continuing its sustained crackdown on the drug menace, police in Anantnag has booked a notorious drug peddler, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani son of Gh Nabi Wani resident of Panzgam Kokernag, under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act.
The accused has been identified as a repeated drug offender involved in activities related to the illicit trafficking of narcotic substances. In view of his continued involvement in drug-related activities and to prevent further illicit trafficking, the competent authority ordered his detention under the PIT-NDPS Act.
Following the detention order, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani has been lodged in Central Jail Kotbhalwa Jammu as per law.
J&K Police reiterates its commitment to taking stringent action against drug traffickers and repeat offenders and to further strengthening the ongoing campaign for a drug-free society.
