BJP MPs,MLAs should apply pressure on centre government or resign over Rail project:Ravinder

Sunderbani, September 13 (Scoop News)- Seeking answers from ruling BJP MPs & MLAs over the Jammu -Akhnoor- Sunderbani ' Rajouri rail link project, Congress has asked them to apply pressure on centre government or resign if they fail to watch the intrests of lakhs of people.


Addressing a press conference here today Former MLC and Chief Spokesperson JKPCC Mr Ravinder Sharma flanked by senior leaders of Congress party of the area, questioned the criminal silence of BJP MPs and MLAs representing the entire belt from Jammu towards Akhnoor, Sunderbani - Rajouri over the most important issue affecting the entire population of lakhs of people of border belt who were dreaming of railway connectivity for over fifty years but now highly resentful over the move to bypass vast area.

There are over dozen MLAs belonging to ruling BJP falling in this entire belt ,he said adding why they are silent andshouldapplypressureon their government or face people's anger.

Threatening agitation over the issue if the BJP representatives fail to get the long overdue project sanctioned in near future.
He said the detailed project project report was prepared on the directions of Shri Rahul Gandhi, in 2012-13 but after that every year, it was assured to carry on the Rail link from Jammu to Akhnoor Sunderbani Rajouri Poonch. Unfortunately after 14 years people are shocked over the bypassing of the entire belt .


They demanded answers from ruling BJP leaders in a time bound manner failing which agitation will be launched in the entire belt after taking on board all stake holders. Block Presidents Sunderbani NC Sharma, block Siot Ajit Singh, DCC General Secretary Th Joginder Singh, Vice President BCC Rajiv Chadha, Spokesperson Sarbjeet Sharma were present.

Sharma also raised the issue of delay in the completion of Sub District Hospital Sunderbani which was started in 2013 under UPA government and demanded immediate operationalising the same with all necessary equipments,men and machinery.
He also referred to the non shifting of the Sunderbani court to its own building at Thandapani , due to lack of boundary wall and high tension wire,despite completed for over one year. He said that lawyers and litigants are suffering a lot due to delay on the part of government and demanded immediate release of funds for needful.
He discussed the issue with Bar Association Sunderbani and took up the matter with the J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu for support of the genuine cause.
