Police commences three-day refresher course on New Criminal Laws in Pulwama


Srinagar, September 10 (Scoop News)-Police in Pulwama commenced a three-day Refresher Course on New Criminal Laws at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines Pulwama, aimed at enhancing legal knowledge and professional competence among police officers.

The refresher course is being attended by police officers from different formations of District Pulwama, providing them an opportunity to enhance their understanding and practical application of the new criminal laws.

The course, being conducted from September 10 to 12, 2026, focuses on the effective implementation and practical application of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), particularly in investigation and prosecution.

The sessions are being delivered by experienced police and prosecution officers, including DySP Headquarters Pulwama and Senior Prosecuting Officer, DPO Pulwama, who have been designated as resource persons for the programme.

The initiative underscores J&K Police’s commitment to continuous capacity building, professional development and effective implementation of the new criminal laws.
