| Volleyball Match Held at GHSS Khaltse under NMBA Campaign | |
Khaltse, September 04 (Scoop News)- As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) campaign, the Youth Services and Sports Department, District Sham, organised a volleyball match between the boys’ and girls’ teams at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Khaltse, today. The event was organised as part of the week-long NMBA campaign under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO), Khaltse, Shri Issa Ghulam.
The programme commenced with the NMBA Pledge, during which participants pledged to contribute towards building a drug-free society and spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse. Staff and students of GHSS Khaltse, along with officials of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Khaltse, participated in the pledge ceremony.
The volleyball match provided an opportunity for students to actively engage in sports while promoting the message of a healthy, active and drug-free lifestyle. The event also highlighted the important role of sports and physical activities in keeping young people away from substance abuse and encouraging healthy habits.
At the conclusion of the event, Principal, GHSS Khaltse, Shri Sonam Smanla, distributed prizes among the winning and runner-up teams. He appreciated the efforts of the organisers, staff and students for their active participation and contribution towards making the NMBA campaign a success.
Light refreshments were also served to the participants and players. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by ZPEO Khaltse, Shri Issa Ghulam.
