| Police Seals Medical Store During Joint Inspection in Anantnag | |
Srinagar, August 29 (Scoop News)-Police in Anantnag, in coordination with officials of the Drug Control Department, conducted an inspection of medical retail outlets to check compliance with applicable regulations.
During the inspection, Amreen Medical Store, owned by Shafeeq Ahmad Itoo of Trahpoo, Achabal, was found in violation of prescribed requirements. The premises were found to have an expired licence, non-availability of electronic records, cache covers of certain scheduled drugs, unhygienic conditions, and other discrepancies.
Taking cognizance of the violations, the medical store was sealed on the spot by the competent authorities. Further action will be taken as per law.
J&K Police reiterates its commitment to ensuring strict compliance with regulations governing the sale and distribution of medicines and preventing any misuse of scheduled drugs.
