| Renowned Educationist, Religious Leader Principal Niranjan Singh Passes Away | | APSCC Mourns Demise | Srinagar, August 05 (Scoop News)-The All Party Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has expressed profound grief over the demise of noted educationist, religious leader and respected social figure, Principal Niranjan Singh, who passed away on Wednesday at his native village, Gamaraj, Tral.
According to family sources, the cremation will take place later today at Gamaraj village.
In a condolence message, APSCC described Principal Niranjan Singh as a towering personality who devoted his life to education, social service and the welfare of the Sikh community in Jammu and Kashmir. The organisation said his passing is an irreparable loss not only to the Sikh community but to the entire Valley.
APSCC recalled that Principal Niranjan Singh actively supported the committee's struggle for the upliftment of the Sikh community. He participated in numerous dharnas, public meetings and delegations that met the Prime Minister, the Union Home Minister and several Chief Ministers to press for issues concerning the Sikh minority, including minority status, reservation in the Legislative Assembly, employment packages for non-migrant Sikh youth, resolution of Punjabi language issues and other long-pending demands.
The committee also highlighted his immense contribution to the field of education, stating that he imparted quality education to students from all sections of society in Tral and earned widespread respect as a dedicated and inspiring teacher.
APSCC Chairman Jagmohan Singh Raina, along with leaders Ajeet Singh Mastana, Sant Singh, Dr. Joginder Singh Shaan, Er. Jatinder Singh, D.P. Singh, Davinder Singh and several other members, expressed shock and sorrow over his demise. They extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul, while wishing strength and courage to the family to bear the irreparable loss.
