| Executive Councillor Altaf Hussain Visits Fire-Affected Middle School Karkitchoo | | Assures Necessary Support |
Kargil, July 17 (Scoop News)-Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Altaf Hussain, today visited Middle School Karkitchoo following the recent fire incident that damaged the school's kitchen facility.
During the visit, the Executive Councillor inspected the affected area and took stock of the damage caused by the fire. He interacted with the Principal, teachers, school staff and general public to assess the situation firsthand.
The school administration requested the early restoration of the damaged kitchen and informed the Executive Councillor that all essential kitchen utensils and related items had been completely destroyed in the fire. They urged the authorities to provide immediate assistance to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the school's kitchen.
The visit was accompanied by the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) and the concerned Junior Engineer (JE).
During the inspection, Hon'ble Executive Councillor, Altaf Hussain directed the concerned JE to ensure the timely completion of the ongoing footpath construction work within the school premises. The school administration also raised the demand for the renovation of the school building and the fencing of the school premises to enhance the safety and security of the students.
The Executive Councillor assured the school authorities that all genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned departments for early redressal and that every possible effort would be made to restore the damaged infrastructure and improve the facilities at the school.
