Make Amarnath Yatra a global benchmark: Dr. Pardeep asks NC Govt for full activation

Jammu, June 30 (Scoop News)-BJP J&K Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra has called upon the Omar Abdullah-led National Conference Government to fully activate its administrative machinery and work in complete coordination with the LG administration in J&K and the PM Modi-led Union Government to make this year's Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra the safest, best-organized and spiritually enriching pilgrimage in its history.

Dr. Pardeep said the Yatra is not only a matter of faith but also a symbol of national unity, resilience and Jammu & Kashmir's immense potential as a global spiritual tourism destination.

Dr. Pardeep Mahotra was addressing senior BJP leaders during a meeting at the BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Sanjay Khanna, Protocol Incharge, J&K BJP, Sanjay Sharma, Vice-President BJP Yuva Morcha, Satish Shastri, Special Invitee, BJP Kissan Morcha, Himanshu Gupta, Protocol Co-convenor, and other party leaders participated in the meeting.

Dr. Mahotra said the successful completion of the Pratham Puja, elaborate security arrangements, road-opening operations and extensive logistical preparations have created a strong foundation for a smooth pilgrimage. He urged every department of the J&K Government to function with maximum efficiency to ensure devotees enjoy a seamless, safe and devotional experience.

Crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming the annual pilgrimage through strengthened infrastructure, advanced security, improved healthcare, disaster management and better pilgrim facilities, Dr. Pardeep said every conspiracy by anti-national elements to disrupt the Yatra has failed because the nation's resolve is stronger than terrorism. He also lauded the dedicated services of the Indian Army, CAPFs, J&K Police, BRO, civil administration, healthcare workers, sanitation staff and volunteers, describing them as the backbone of the successful conduct of the Yatra.

Dr. Pardeep emphasized the economic significance of the pilgrimage and said the Yatra should be leveraged to promote religious tourism across Jammu & Kashmir, benefiting local businesses, transporters, artisans and youth. He also called for the beautification of Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Base Camp and the Tawi riverfront with cultural displays to provide pilgrims with a grand spiritual welcome. He also appealed to the tourism department of J&K to make efforts to promote the tourist locations of Jammu region.

The coordinated efforts of the Central Government, the LG administration and the J&K Government should make this year's Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra a benchmark for pilgrimage management and further strengthen Jammu & Kashmir's identity as India's leading spiritual tourism destination, added Dr. Pardeep.
