| P.M. should sack Education Minister Dharminder Pradhan – AICC leaders | | Congress to gherao Parliament on Aug 9 on students issues – AICC Secretaries | Jammu,June 27 (Scoop News)- AICC Secretaries Co-incharge J&K Affairs Shri Pragat Singh (MLA) and Ms Divya Maderna today hit out at the Modi Govt for playing with the future of youth and students leading to suicides and demanded that education minister should be sacked but regretted that instead of seeking his resignation PM appreciates him while extending birthday greetings to him.
Addressing a press conference here today at Rajiv Bhawan PCC HQ Jammu, AICC leaders questioned the series of examination scams and paper leaks under BJP regime and said that congress shall Gherao Parliament on August 9 under the 40 day “Chhatro Ki Goonz” Abiyan launched by Shri Rahul Gandhi from Kota, Rajasthan, in order to highlight the issues faced by students and youth of the country.
Ms. Divya Maderna said that congress has identified 40 locations in the country including Srinagar where massive Chhatro Ki Goonz protests shall be held and finally Parliament gherao on August 9 in New Delhi, on issues faced by the students in the country.
Raising multiple questions on the issue of paper leaks in the country Divya said that youth of the country is facing a great crisis during past 10 years of Modi regime 89 paper leaks have been reported and 48 re-examinations were held, ruining the future of lakhs of youth leading to around 93 suicide by the aspirants, as per Indian Express analysis, in the past few years. Prestigious NEET paper has been leaked four times I recent years under BJP rule.
She said that there is reduction of 50 % budget on education as campared to UPA-2, Govt. reducing the budget allocations from 4.77% to 2.50% showing 50 decline in education, which is backbone of future of the country.
She said that NEET has become as “Neet, cheat & Repeat” system frustrating the youth of the country. Nearly 5 Lakh students were forced for re-evaluation processes in CBSE controversy whereby nearly 100 Cr. was collected from candidates. The candidates and parents are forced to spend crores of rupees annually which is equivalent to budget of five ministries. Only on NEET parants and students spend more than annual education budget, she added.
She said Indian Express documented 41 recruitment exams leaks in 15 states in past five years, disrupting recruitments schedules for approximately 1.4 Cr. applicants competiting for just 1.04 lakh jobs, which is alarming situation in the country..
The AICC Secretaries accused the Modi Govt of commercialization of education system and weakening the institutions leading the paper leaks which is major cause of youth and students frustration in the country.

S. Pargat Singh said that youth are seeing a ray of hope in the leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhi to bring them out of current mess in order to secure their future. The congress party will continue this campaign for fixing accountability and to take corrective measures, the resignation of Education Minister Darmindra Pradhan is one such demand. They said a massive programme shall be held I Srinagar on August 1st and Parliament Gherao in Delhi on August 9, to force the Govt. to act on the demands of students to streamline the education and examination system for selections and recruitments in the country, they added.
