Hakeem Yaseen Seeks Elaborate Arrangements for Urs of Hazrat Syed Soliha Khansahib (RA) in Khansahib Budgam

Budgam, June 11 (Scoop News)-Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) President and former Minister, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen, on Thursday urged the Jammu and Kashmir administration to make comprehensive and foolproof arrangements for the forthcoming annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Soliha (RA) in Khansahib area of central Kashmir's Budgam district.

The annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Soliha (RA) is scheduled to be observed on June 21, with thousands of devotees from different parts of Kashmir expected to participate in the revered religious gathering.

In a statement issued here, Hakeem Yaseen said that the annual Urs holds immense spiritual significance and reflects Kashmir's rich Sufi heritage, which has for centuries promoted the values of peace, tolerance, brotherhood, and communal harmony.

He appealed to the district and sub-divisional administration and all concerned departments to ensure an uninterrupted electricity and drinking water supply, besides maintaining proper sanitation and cleanliness during the Urs celebrations. He stressed that adequate facilities should be provided not only at the shrine premises but also in adjoining villages and localities that witness a substantial influx of devotees during the occasion.

The PDF President further urged the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department to maintain adequate stocks of essential commodities, including rice, flour, sugar, LPG cylinders, and other daily necessities, to prevent any inconvenience to local residents and visiting pilgrims. He also sought additional ration allocations for the area during the festival period.

Emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts among various departments, Hakeem Yaseen called upon the Power Development Department, Jal Shakti Department, Health Department, Municipal authorities, and Traffic Police to work in close coordination to ensure smooth and hassle-free conduct of the Urs celebrations.

He recommended the deployment of medical teams, sanitation workers, and traffic personnel at strategic locations for the convenience of devotees.

Reaffirming his commitment to preserving and promoting Kashmir's spiritual and cultural heritage, Hakeem Yaseen urged people to participate in the Urs celebrations with devotion and reverence while maintaining cleanliness, discipline, and respect for the sanctity of the occasion.
