| Musicians Unite in a Rare All-Day Tribute to Pandit Bhajan Sopori to mark the 3rd Pt. Bhajan Sopori Day | | 
New Delhi/Jammu, June 03 (Scoop News)- New Delhi witnessed an extraordinary celebration of India's musical spirit as musicians from across the country gathered to commemorate Pandit Bhajan Sopori Day - A Day of Musicians, observed annually on June 2, the Nirvana Divas of the Great Saint Music Legend late Pandit Bhajan Sopori ji. Revered as the Saint of Santoor and the King of Strings, his legacy was honoured through an exceptional day-long musical offering at Jhankar Hall, Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi bringing together artists from the music fraternity in a unique expression of reverence, remembrance, and unity.
The gathering transformed into a vibrant confluence of India's diverse musical traditions, with renowned exponents of Indian music presenting heartfelt Hazri performances. Artists representing multiple generations took part in the tribute, creating an atmosphere of devotion and artistic camaraderie. Among those who offered musical salutations to Pandit ji were Ashique Kumar (Vocal), Ishaan Sharma (Tabla Solo), Ujjwal Udayakumar (Harmonium Solo), Anjanaye Joshi (Flute), Adhiraj Chaudhuri (Sitar), Pritam Ghoshal (Sarod), Samyak Parashari (Flute), Niloy Ehsan (Dhrupad), Vivek Prajapati (Vocal), Harman Rajwal (Vocal), Soumendra Goswami (Sitar), Saptak Sharma, Varun Rajasekharan and Manohar Balachandraine (Rhythm Trio – Tabla, Ghatam and Mridangam), Smit Tewari (Sarod), Adnan Khan (Sitar), Ustad Murad Ali, Subhan Ali, Rehan Ali & Shahnawaz Ali (Sarangi) and others and several accompanying artists including Chanchal Singh, Sukant Krishna, Anand Mishra, Amaan Khan, Ujith Udayakumar (Tabla) and others.

Members of the Sopori family, including Dr. Aparna Sopori, Pandit Abhay Rustum Sopori, Ragini Rainu, Sohrab Sopori, Soumil Sopori and Soham Sopori, were also present, alongside disciples of the Sopori Sufiana Gharana of Kashmir having learnt from Pandit Shamboo Nath Sopori ji, Pandit Bhajan Sopori ji and Pandit Abhay Rustum Sopori. Throughout the event, artists paid floral and musical homage while sharing memories of Pandit Bhajan Sopori’s immense contribution to the world of music and beyond.
