Drass, May 29 (Scoop News)- Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho (JKAS), and Superintendent of Police Drass, Ishtiyaq Kacho (JKPS) today attended the felicitation ceremony organized by the Educational Wing of Jamia Masjid Darul Tabligh Drass to honour meritorious students and to encourage academic excellence, moral values and community service among the youth.
The programme was held under the theme of “Knowledge, Character, Service” and witnessed participation of civil society members guests, educationists, community leaders, students, and parents.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of education, discipline and character building in shaping a progressive society. Students were encouraged to continue striving for excellence and contribute positively towards the development of society and the nation. They were assured that the District Administration will help provide them optimum educational opportunities with Drass.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the students who have been selected for admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kargil. The Class 12th and Class 10th topper of Drass District were also present on the occasion. Their hard work was also appreciated. He also lauded the efforts of teachers, parents and community members in guiding and motivating students towards academic success and moral values.
The programme concluded with felicitation of students and distribution of awards. The event was also attended by Principal, Government Degree College, Drass, Nasir Shabani; Councillor, Upper Drass Constituency Abdul Samad; President Darul Tabligh Sheikh Hussain Khan and Chairman, Educational Wing, Darul Tabligh, Sajad Hussain among others.
