| IUST Organises Exposure Visits for PM Shri HSS Students | |
Awantipora, May 15 (Scoop News)-The Office of Community Connect, Islamic University of Science and Technology, under the aegis of the Dean Outreach, organised a series of exposure visits for students from PM Shri Higher Secondary institutions across Jammu and Kashmir as part of its outreach and academic engagement initiatives.
During two such recent programmes, the University witnessed the participation of around 400 students and faculty members from both the Jammu and Kashmir divisions of the Union Territory. The visits aimed to familiarise students with the University’s academic environment, research facilities, laboratories, and higher education opportunities across diverse disciplines.
During the visits, students toured several academic departments and facilities of the University, including the Rumi Library, where they explored modern study spaces, digital learning resources, and academic support facilities. The students also visited the Multimedia Studio and Multimedia iMac Lab, different labs and gained exposure to professional audio-visual production tools, broadcasting techniques, and digital content creation processes.
The visiting students interacted with faculty members and laboratory staff across departments and were acquainted with scientific instruments, engineering technologies, laboratory practices, research activities, and practical applications of science, communication, and technology in contemporary industries and society.
The exposure visits coordinated by Dr. Shaika Nasreen, Coordinator Communication Connect IUST provided students with valuable insights into academic and professional pathways in science, engineering, media, and technology, while also encouraging them to pursue higher education and research-oriented careers. The programmes formed part of IUST’s continued efforts to strengthen community engagement and inspire young learners through meaningful academic exposure.
