| Third Day of Mega Free Medical Camp at MIMC Devachan Continues to Serve Patients | | Leh, May 04 (Scoop News)-The Mega Free Medical Camp, organised as part of the ongoing Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathagata Buddha in Ladakh, continued successfully on its third day at the MIMC Devachan Campus, Leh, with over 100 patients being treated daily.
The camp is being organised by the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh in collaboration with the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) and SNM Hospital, and is scheduled to continue till May 14, 2026.
Held daily at the Mahabodhi Mahakaruna Charitable Hospital, Devachan, the initiative is providing free medical consultations, diagnostic services, and distribution of medicines to the general public. On the third day, patients from different parts of Ladakh, including local residents, monks, nuns, and workers, availed themselves of the services offered at the camp.
A dedicated team of specialist doctors, including gynaecologists, ENT specialists, ophthalmologists, and dental surgeons, continued to provide consultations. Essential services such as TB screening, non-communicable disease (NCD) screening, radiology, and other diagnostic facilities were actively carried out. In addition, local Amchi practitioners representing the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine were also present, offering traditional healing consultations.
The initiative continues to serve as an important outreach effort, ensuring accessible healthcare services during the sacred exposition while addressing a wide range of medical needs in the region. ... |
