| Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan | | J&K Police conduct awareness campaigns & PCPG meetings in Handwara & Kupwara | Srinagar, April 21 (Scoop News)- In a sustained effort to combat drug abuse and foster a healthy, addiction-free society, J&K Police organized a comprehensive awareness drive under the “Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan” through PCPG meeting's across the Police district besides comprehensive checking of drug hot spots and inspection of medical shops. Besides in Kupwara, J&K Police have conducted a series of awareness programmes in collaboration with schools, colleges, and civil departments.
In Handwara, the campaign witnessed active participation from students, youth, civil society members, and local residents, reflecting a collective commitment towards eradicating the menace of substance abuse. During the programme and inspection officers of Handwara Police sensitized the public about the harmful effects of drug addiction, its impact on individuals, families, and society at large. Emphasis was laid on early prevention, community vigilance, and the importance of reporting drug-related activities. Interactive sessions were conducted to educate the youth and general public about making informed life choices and resisting peer pressure.
In Kupwara, Police have conducted a series of awareness programmes in collaboration with schools, colleges, and civil departments as part of the 100 Days Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan. These initiatives were organized with the objective of sensitizing the public, particularly the youth, about the growing menace of drug abuse. The programmes aimed to educate participants on the harmful effects of substance abuse and to encourage collective efforts towards building a drug-free society.
