Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, today extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasions of Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that both the occasions hold immense significance for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who celebrate these festivals with great fervour and enthusiasm. He highlighted that Baisakhi marks the harvest season and symbolizes prosperity, joy and gratitude among the farming communities across the region.
He said that April 14 marks the birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, whose life and ideals continue to inspire the generations towards equality, justice and social empowerment.
