Grand Farewell Ceremony Held At IIS School Srinagar For Class 10th Outgoing Students


Srinagar, April 11 (Scoop News)- A grand farewell ceremony was organised by International Islamic School (IIS), at the Peerbagh, Srinagar campus to honour the outgoing students of Class 10th (Batch 2024 & 2025). A large number of boys and girls participated in the programme with great enthusiasm, making the occasion memorable and meaningful.

The ceremony aimed to appreciate the students' hard work, achievements and encourage them for their future academic journey. Students expressed their gratitude to their teachers and the institution while showcasing their literary and creative talents in a well-organised programme.

The event was graced by distinguished personalities including Chief Guest G.N. Var, Founding President & Patron PSAJK & Chairman CCAK, Dr. Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Chairman IIS, Abdul Majeed Parray, President J&K Trade Union Council, members of the Board of Directors Showkat Hussain, Tanveer Rather, Principal Umer Malik, Academic Administrator & Coordinator Counselling Cell Irfan Jameel, besides faculty members, coordinators and staff from both campuses.

The event began with Tilawat of the Holy Qur’an followed by Naat-e-Sharif, creating a peaceful and respectful atmosphere. The programme included Nazm-e-Istiqbal (Welcome Poem), Mushairah, Quiz Competition, a short play on the importance of truthfulness, certificate distribution, Alwida Nazm (Farewell Poem), interactive activities and games, followed by lunch.

The activities reflected the confidence, creativity and moral values of students, while the Alwida Nazm added an emotional touch as students shared their memories. The interactive activities strengthened the bond between juniors and seniors, making the farewell ceremony enjoyable and memorable for all participants.

Principal Umer Malik congratulated the outgoing students and appreciated the efforts of the organising team for conducting the programme in an impressive manner. “This farewell marks an important milestone in the academic journey of our students. We are proud of their achievements and confident that they will continue to excel in their future pursuits while upholding the values and discipline they have learned at IIS.”

Academic Administrator Irfan Jameel emphasised the role of such programmes in personality development. “Farewell programmes are not merely ceremonial events but opportunities for reflection, motivation and encouragement. We strive to nurture confident, responsible and value-oriented individuals prepared to contribute positively to society.”

A senior faculty member highlighted the academic dedication and discipline of the outgoing batch. “The students of Batch 2024 and 2025 have demonstrated sincerity, commitment and enthusiasm in academics as well as co-curricular activities. We wish them continued success and excellence in all future endeavours.”

Students expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the institution and teachers for their continuous guidance and support. “IIS has provided us with knowledge, confidence and strong moral values. We will always remain thankful to our teachers for shaping our future,” said one of the outgoing students.

Another student said “The farewell programme is a memorable moment for all of us. The lessons and experiences gained at IIS will always inspire us in our academic and personal lives.”

The programme concluded in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting discipline, unity and enthusiasm. The event not only celebrated the academic journey of the outgoing students but also motivated them to move forward with confidence, integrity and a strong sense of social responsibility.

The farewell programme was organised in close coordination with the Administrative Staff, Supervisors Ms. Urfee Bala, Mohammad Shafi, Arts Department, PT Department and the Heads of Departments of English, Urdu, Islamic Studies, Transport Incharge and campus Manager including Ms. Tanzeela Bashir, Syed Afzal and Irfan Khan, along with Ms. Faika Jan, Social Media Incharge. The collective efforts and teamwork of teaching and non-teaching staff ensured the smooth and dignified conduct of the event.

The Vote of Thanks was presented by the organising committee, expressing sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, distinguished dignitaries, management, faculty members, staff and students for their valuable presence and cooperation. The organisers appreciated the dedicated efforts of all departments whose coordination and commitment ensured the successful and memorable conduct of the farewell ceremony.
