| Mega job fair held at Chinar Yuva Centre, Baramulla | | 
Srinagar, April 08 (Scoop News)-The Chinar Yuva Centre, Baramulla, hosted the Mega Job Fair 2026 on April 7 and 8. The event aimed to connect job seekers with leading employers across various sectors, including IT, Hospitality, Automobile, Insurance, Retail, and Allied Fields.
This year’s fair saw an encouraging response, with over 3,000 aspirants registering—a 60 percent increase compared to the previous year. Approximately 1,100 vacancies were on offer, reflecting a similar 60 percent growth year-on-year. The focus was on aligning candidates’ aspirations with employment opportunities, particularly in Hospitality, Retail, Automobiles, and related sectors.
Prominent employers participating included Flipkart, Swiggy, Blinkit, LG, Ather, Amazon, Raymond, PhonePe, Hotel Sarovar Portico, Hotel Khyber, Myntra, Honda, Bajaj, and SBI Life. The event featured online interviews by ten companies, along with physical interviews, short-listing, and candidate selection. Representatives from the District Employment & Counseling Centre also provided career counseling on industry trends and skill development under the “Mission YUVA” scheme.
Additionally, the Chinar Yuva Centre is launching new courses in Agro Entrepreneurship to promote self-employment and improve livelihood opportunities for youth. This initiative underscores the continued commitment of the Chinar Corps towards youth empowerment, skill development, and facilitating meaningful employment as part of its broader outreach and nation-building efforts in the region.
