| Police Inaugurates Police Martyr’s Volleyball Tournament In Ganderbal | | Srinagar, March 13 (Scoop News)-Police in Ganderbal inaugurated the Police Martyr’s Volleyball Tournament at Chattergul, Kangan under the Civic Action Programme, aimed at promoting sportsmanship, youth engagement and strengthening police-public relations.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by SDPO Kangan Shri Rajeev Raina-JKPS, accompanied by SHO Kangan Inspector Younis Ahmad Khan who graced the occasion as the chief guests. On the occasion, SDPO Kangan highlighted the importance of sports in channelizing the energy of youth towards constructive activities and keeping them away from social evils. He also paid rich tributes to the brave Police Martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty for the peace and security of the nation.
A total of 16 Teams from Sub-Division Kangan are participating in the tournament, making the event a vibrant platform for young players to showcase their talent and sportsmanship. Local youth, sports enthusiasts and members of the community attended the inauguration ceremony and appreciated the initiative of Police for organizing such events to encourage healthy competition and foster stronger community bonds.
