PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair 2026 Organised at Eco Park, Leh

Leh, February 25 (Scoop News)- The PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair 2026 was successfully organised at Eco Park Leh by the MSME-Development & Nucleus Cell, Leh, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Government of India, in association with the Directorate of Industries & Commerce, UT Ladakh.

Joint Director, MSME-DNC Leh, Shri Amit Kumar Tamaria, delivered the welcome address, while Assistant Director, MSME-DNC Leh, Shri Rajesh Kumar, presented the vote of thanks.

The exhibition aimed to promote and showcase the rich craftsmanship and entrepreneurial potential of local artisans and traditional workers under the flagship PM Vishwakarma Scheme of the Government of India.

The event provided a vibrant platform for beneficiaries and local entrepreneurs to display their products, network with buyers, and explore new market opportunities.

Artisans representing various traditional trades exhibited a diverse range of products, reflecting the cultural heritage and skilled craftsmanship of Ladakh. The trade fair facilitated direct interaction between producers and consumers, encouraging business linkages and enhancing visibility for locally manufactured goods.

Director Industries & Commerce, Ladakh, Shri Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, highlighted the Government’s commitment to strengthening the MSME ecosystem in Ladakh by providing financial assistance, skill upgradation, modern toolkits, and marketing support under the PM Vishwakarma initiative.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from artisans, entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and members of the public. The exhibition not only celebrated the spirit of self-reliance and entrepreneurship but also reinforced collaborative efforts towards sustainable economic development in the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The programme was attended by General Manager, District Industries Centre, Leh, AG Zargar; Convenor UTLBC, Tsering Wangmo; Assistant Director Handloom, Leh; Assistant Director Handicrafts, Leh; Manager IPPB, Jagdish; officials from the Industries Department; and a large number of artisans and cultural troupes.

The organisers expressed their gratitude to all participating artisans, departments, and stakeholders for making the event a success and reiterated their commitment to continuing such initiatives to empower traditional artisans and promote local industries.
