| Farmers in Sakti Village Trained on Oil seed cultivation | |
Kharu. February 21 (Scoop News)-A training camp focusing on oil seed cultivation under National Mission on Edible oil/ oil seeds under Krishi unnati was held today, February 21, 2026 in Sakti village, of Kharu Sub Division Leh. The event, organized by the Agriculture Department aimed to educate farmers on the best practices for growing mustard (oil seed)
The training was led by Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer Mohd Ramzan, Agriculture Extension Officer, Kharu Kunzang Dolma and Jr. Agriculture Extension Officer Stanzin Idong, and Dr. Kunzang Lamo
In addition to oil seeds, the program also covered various modern agricultural techniques. Topics included the package of practices for the Ladakh Green House, preparation of vermicompost, mushroom production,natural farming, organic farming.Farmers were also informed about different departmental schemes to support their agricultural efforts.
