| ADC Leh, Ghulam Mohd, JKAS, chaired a meeting | | Leh,February 20 (Scoop News)-ADC Leh, Ghulam Mohd, JKAS, chaired a meeting on 20.02.2026 in the VC Room of the DC Office, Leh, to review and finalize arrangements for the ongoing holy month of Ramadan 2026.
During the meeting, comprehensive measures were discussed to ensure the smooth observance of the month until Eid-ul-Fitr. The ADC directed that ambulances be stationed at designated venues during major congregational prayers and significant gatherings to ensure prompt medical response. The Cooperative Department was instructed to ensure adequate availability of essential commodities and to provide them on a concession basis from 9th March until Eid-ul-Fitr so that the public does not face any inconvenience during the festive period. The Assistant Director, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs was further directed to intensify market inspections during Ramadan, particularly at vegetable shops, and submit a status report.
It was also decided that a follow-up meeting will be convened two days prior to Eid-ul-Fitr to review and strengthen security arrangements for the festival.
