| BMO Khaltse Organises Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Camp at Village Ang. | |
Khaltse, February 20 (Scoop News)-The Block Medical Officer (BMO), Khaltse, Dr. Shamim Ahmed, successfully organised a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) camp at Village Ang on February 20, 2026.
The medical camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Shamim Ahmed (BMO Khaltse) with the objective of providing specialised healthcare services to the local community, particularly in the remote village of Ang.
The following medical officers were deputed to conduct the camp:
Dr. Stanzin Yangdol – Physician
Dr. Ashish Vaishnav – Medical Officer
Dr. Shaista Iqbal – Dental Surgeon
Dr. Stanzin Lazes – Medical Officer (Amchi).
A total of 85 patients benefited from the camp, including:
Physician consultations: 34 patients
General consultations (Medical Officer): 18 patients
Dental consultations: 17 patients
Amchi consultations: 12 patients.
In addition to general medical treatment, Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening was conducted for all eligible attendees, with a focus on the early detection of diabetes and hypertension.
The camp concluded successfully, providing essential medical care and much-needed relief to the residents of the remote village of Ang.
