| Councillor Bhimbat Conducts Visits KGBV Bhimbat to Review Winter Remedial Classes | |
Drass, January 19 (Scoop News)-Councillor Bhimbat, Abdul Wahid visited Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Bhimbat, where winter remedial classes for students of PM SHRI High School Thasgam, Drass are being conducted. The visit was aimed at reviewing the academic arrangements, hostel facilities, and overall well-being of students attending these special winter classes.
During the visit, the Councillor interacted with students and teaching staff, inquired about the quality of education being imparted, and encouraged the students to make the best use of this opportunity to strengthen their academic performance, particularly in preparation for upcoming examinations.
The in-charge teacher of the night classes apprised the Councillor of the shortage of a science teacher at the institution. It was informed that, to avoid any disruption in studies, a science teacher has been engaged on an outsourced basis by the Headmaster, ensuring continuity of learning during the winter remedial programme.
The Councillor also inspected the heating arrangements, food facilities, and accommodation provided to the students. Expressing concern for their comfort and safety during the harsh winter period, he assured that any shortcomings brought to notice would be promptly taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
On the occasion, the Councillor also thanked the UT Administration and District Administration for their support and efforts in ensuring smooth conduct of winter remedial classes and student welfare initiatives.
