Jeevan Sangharsh Trust, Along with RTI Activist
Celebrates Lohri with Cancer Patients at GMC Jammu

Jammu, January 13 (Scoop News)-Members of Jeevan Sangharsh Trust celebrated the festival of Lohri with cancer patients at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, spreading warmth, hope, and emotional support among those undergoing treatment.

The programme was attended by representatives of the Trust, senior faculty members of GMC Jammu, hospital officials, and other dignitaries. A renowned RTI activist was specially invited as a guest to grace the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Rajni Sharma President of Jeevan Sangharsh Trust along with Talbinder Singh founder president, Sh Mukesh Gupta convener, Manu Mahajan, said that celebrating major festivals with cancer patients has become a regular initiative, as these patients are now considered part of the Trust’s extended family. It was emphasized that such celebrations help restore hope, positivity, and emotional strength among patients who are away from their homes or battling serious illnesses. Prayers were also offered for the speedy and complete recovery of all patients, along with heartfelt appreciation for the doctors and medical staff who serve tirelessly day and night.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh Ashutosh Gupta Principal of GMC Jammu and Balvinder Singh RTI Activist appreciated the Trust for its thoughtful and humane initiative, stating that such gestures bring happiness, emotional relief, and renewed courage to patients during difficult times.

Expressing gratitude, the Trust thanked the GMC administration, including Superintendent GMC Jammu Sh Varinder Trishal, Dy Superintendent Dr Bharat Bushan hospital supervisory staff, Sh Anoop Kohli Chief Technologist GMC and medical officers, S Satinder Singh social activist for sparing their valuable time and extending cooperation. Sincere thanks were also conveyed to all participants, including Sh Pushpinder Singh SHO Samba for supporting the event and in making the celebration meaningful and memorable.
