| Director SDD reviews functioning of Govt Polytechnic Jammu | |
Jammu, January 07 (Scoop News)- Director Skill Development Department (SDD) Jammu & Kashmir, Shahzad Alam undertook an extensive visit today to Government Polytechnic Jammu to review the overall functioning of the institution and assess the facilities available for students.
The Director was received by the Principal, Er Talet Mahmood along with senior faculty members.
During the visit, the Director conducted a comprehensive tour of the campus, inspecting academic blocks, laboratories and workshops to assess the availability and condition of infrastructure and machinery. He paid particular attention to the Electrical Engineering laboratories, where he interacted with the faculty members and reviewed the implementation of the curriculum.
The Director also reviewed the implementation of the Government schemes, including MISSION YUVA. He emphasised the importance of skill up-gradation to empower youth and align their competencies with industry requirements.
While interacting with the staff, Shahzad Alam underscored the need to maintain high standards of technical education. He encouraged faculty members to place greater emphasis on practical training, innovation and industry-oriented learning to prepare students for employment opportunities.
The visit concluded with a detailed discussion on future development plans to strengthen the academic and training infrastructure at Government Polytechnic Jammu.
