| Withdrawal of SMVDIME (Medical College) Permission a Failure of BJP and LG Administration:Rattan Lal | | Srinagar, January 07 (Scoop News)-A meeting of the Core Group of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sangharsh Samiti was held today to deliberate on the developments of the past 45 days and the recent decision taken by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Following the meeting, a grand press conference was organized under the leadership of the Samiti’s Convener, Colonel Sukhvir Singh Mankotia, where the committee outlined its future strategy and discussed the resounding success of the agitation.
Addressing the media, Convener Colonel Sukhvir Singh Mankotia began by expressing deep gratitude to both print and electronic media. He stated that the media acted as a vital bridge in taking this 45-day-long struggle to the masses and bringing it to a logical conclusion. Colonel Mankotia extended special thanks to Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Union Health Minister Shri J.P. Nadda, stating that the NMC's cancellation of permission for the Medical College due to irregularities found in the Shrine Board’s University is a "victory for justice." He remarked that the Central Government is sensitive and respects the faith and sentiments of millions of devotees. He also thanked Sanatanis across India and all sections of society who provided unconditional support to this movement. Colonel Mankotia made a strong appeal to Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha to issue clear directives to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to ensure full respect for the traditions and culture of Sanatan Dharma within the institution. The Samiti demanded that the LG take an early decision to make necessary amendments to the Shrine Board Bylaws. Emphasis was laid on ensuring Hindu participation in the Board through these amendments and initiating research work on Yoga, Vedas, and Sanskrit within the institution. He clarified that the Samiti’s objective is not merely to protest but to protect religion and dignity, and they remain ready to cooperate with the administration in this regard.
Speaking on they occasion, Shri Parshotam Dadhichi, while presenting the ideological side of the movement, stated that the Samiti alwaysh ensured that the boundaries of discipline and decorum were never crossed during the 45-day struggle. Hey gracefully clarified that if any sharp remarks were made against the Lieutenant Governor in the heat of the agitation, they should be viewed only as public outcry and not otherwise. Shri Dadhichi lauded the personal contribution and positive role of LG Shri Manoj Sinha in resolving this dispute and formally thanked him on behalf of the committee. The Samiti expressed special pride that this movement became au symbol of Hindu Unity, with social, religious, and business organizations, as well as other Associations, standing shoulder to shoulder. Gratitudeu was expressed to all these organizations for demonstrating such solidarity.
Following the conclusion of the press conference, the entire team of the Sangharsh Samiti and a large number of supporters took out a grand Vijay Yatra (Victory Procession) to the beats of traditional drums (Dhol-Nagada). The jubilant procession started from Parade Ground, passed through various routes of the city, and reached the historic Shri Raghunath Temple. At the temple complex, members offered prayers and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty for the success of the movement. The atmosphere resonated with chants of "Jai Mata Di" and "Jai Shree Ram." Through this press conference and Yatra, the Samiti reaffirmed its commitment to the service of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and pledged to ensure that all activities of the Shrine Board remain in accordance with Dharma.
