| Passing away of a great personality from Bijbehara, Sh ML Tikoo (Malla) | |
" I am sad to inform you about the passing of my beloved mama ji Sh ML tikoo.
A remarkable person who rose from such a simple background to become a dedicated professor of history and a true guide to many. His kindness, integrity, and commitment to education and social welfare touched many lives, including mine.To me, much more than a mama ji he was a parent, teacher, and constant motivator who encouraged me to face life’s difficulties with courage and dignity.
His warmth, affection, and concern for all will always be remembered.
Being out of the country, it pains me that I am unable to be with my brothers personally at this time to share sadness and grief. As the elder one, and having spent time with him both as his nephew and as his student, there are very special memories of his role in my upbringing and of the way he helped shape all of us brothers. I feel especially grateful and relieved that I was able to spend some days with him again in July and reconnect with old memories which will remain with me always."
