Shargole, December 23 (Scoop News)- The Tehsil Office Shargole, in collaboration with ICDS Project Shargole, successfully observed “Good Governance Week – Prashan Gaon Ki Ore” at the Community Hall, Darket, under the esteemed directives of the District Commissioner, Kargil.
The event was formally presided over by Naib Tehsildar Shargole, Mr. Mohammad Ali, who was accompanied by his dedicated team of Patwaris and ministerial staff. Also present were CDPO Shargole, Farida Banoo, along with her entire ICDS staff and Numberdar of Darket village, symbolizing strong institutional and community collaboration.
The hall buzzed with enthusiastic participation from villagers — including men, women, adolescent girls, children, and active ICDS beneficiaries — reflecting the community’s eagerness to engage with government services at the grassroots level.
In her address, CDPO Farida Banoo extended heartfelt thanks to the Tehsil Office for spearheading the initiative.
She took the opportunity to provide a detailed overview of critical ICDS schemes and services available to the community, such as: Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) – ensuring nutritional security for pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children; Pre-School Education – laying the foundation for early childhood development; Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) – financial support for maternal health and childbirth and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) – empowering girls through education and protection.
She passionately urged all eligible families to avail themselves of these entitlements without delay and encouraged active cooperation to ensure seamless, timely delivery of services.
Naib Tehsildar Mohammad Ali delivered an inspiring speech, thanking all participants for their presence and underscoring the true spirit of “Prashan Gaon Ki Ore” — bringing governance closer to the people. He reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen-centric service delivery.
Key activities during the event included registration of 2 PMMVY forms by the Block Coordinator, enabling immediate access to maternal benefits.
Supervisor Kacho Mustafa urged beneficiaries to collaborate with frontline workers for uninterrupted distribution of THR (Take Home Ration), especially crucial during the harsh winter months.
The Tehsil Office team resolved pending cases on the spot, including issuance of ST Certificates, Income Certificates, and Land Mutation Records, delivering instant relief to dozens of residents.
The event culminated with a renewed pledge from both departments — Tehsil Office and ICDS Project Shargole — to deepen inter-agency coordination, enhance outreach, and ensure last-mile delivery of public services for the holistic development and welfare of the community.
