| DC Kathua reviews implementation of District Capex Plan 2025–26 | | Kathua, December 16 (Scoop News)-Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to review the progress of works being executed under the District Capex Plan 2025–26.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Surinder Mohan Sharma; Chief Planning Officer, Ranjit Thakur and officers from Engineering, Rural Development and Health Departments, besides field functionaries of concerned departments attended the meeting.
The DC reviewed both physical and financial progress of works and directed the executing agencies to expedite pace and adhere to the prescribed timelines for ongoing as well as newly sanctioned works under DDC, BDC and PRI grants. He also stressed the need for timely execution of works being undertaken under MPLAD and Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Emphasising quality asset creation, the DC cautioned that adherence to timelines is mandatory, as there is a provision of 30 percent financial cut in funds for works not executed beyond December 31, 2025. He directed officers to ensure strict monitoring to avoid delays and cost overruns.
The DC further called for expediting the billing process of completed works so that financial progress is reflected accordingly and fund utilisation remains on track.
Reiterating accountability, the DC asked all departments to maintain coordination and ensure transparency, quality and timely completion of all works under the District Capex Plan.
