| Students Show Strong Faith As Free Mega SATHE Test Records Huge Turnout In Both Phases | | Srinagar, December 14 (Scoop News)- The Mega SATHE Scholarship Test organised by Sadam KIE (SKIE) has created a strong wave of hope among students across Jammu & Kashmir, with around 8,000 students participating in two major phases of the examination.
The second phase, held on Sunday, 14 December 2025, witnessed the participation of more than 3,000 students, while the first phase earlier saw nearly 5,000 students appear for the test. Together, this overwhelming response has made SATHE one of the largest free scholarship tests ever conducted in the Valley.
Students came not only from Srinagar and nearby areas but also from far-flung and remote regions, travelling long distances despite cold weather and difficult road conditions. Many parents accompanied their children, reflecting the deep trust and confidence people have in this initiative.
The examination was conducted smoothly at four centres, Parraypora Main Campus, Soura, Rajbagh and Anantnag. To ensure student comfort during the harsh winter conditions, proper arrangements were made at all centres, including heating facilities, refreshments, drinking water and other basic amenities. The entire examination process was personally supervised by Sadam Sir, Director of Sadam KIE (SKIE), to ensure fairness, discipline and a supportive environment for students.
Speaking on the occasion, Director SKIE Sadam Sir said the main aim of the SATHE Scholarship Test is to support talented students who cannot afford coaching fees, especially those from economically weaker backgrounds and remote areas.
“Our goal is very simple, no student should stop dreaming because of money problems. We want to provide quality education, good teachers and honest opportunities to every deserving child,” he said.
He added that Jammu & Kashmir has no shortage of talent and that with proper guidance and mentorship, students can secure admission to top medical colleges, engineering institutes and universities across the country.
Sadam Sir also stressed that the scholarship process is completely transparent and strictly based on merit. The scholarship chart was openly displayed at all centres.
Students scoring between 92% and 100% marks will receive a 100% scholarship, allowing them to study at SKIE without paying any fees.
Students who appeared in the test shared positive feedback. NEET and JEE aspirants said the question paper was well-designed and closely aligned with real exam patterns, helping them assess their preparation. School students said the questions were clear, balanced and based on their syllabus.
Many students expressed that the scholarship would reduce the financial burden on their families and motivate them to work harder towards their academic goals.
With nearly 8,000 students participating across two phases, the Mega SATHE Scholarship Test has become more than just an examination, it has evolved into a mission to make quality education accessible to every deserving student in Jammu & Kashmir.
The core purpose of this test is simple, to help talented students study without worrying about fees. Sadam KIE (SKIE) remains committed to providing the right guidance, support and opportunities so that every deserving student can achieve their dreams. ... |
