| Pulwama District Table Tennis Championship 2025 Concludes Successfully | | Srinagar, December 11 (Scoop News)- The Pulwama District Table Tennis Championship (Men/Women) 2025 concluded on a high note after a series of thrilling matches across various age groups and categories.
Organized by the Pulwama District Table Tennis Association under the aegis of the J&K Table Tennis Association and in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 111 players.
The championship featured competitions in the junior, sub-junior, cadet, and senior categories for both men and women.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Gh Mohiudin Sb (GDC Rajpora) and Dr. Faisal Hayat (Physical Director), who encouraged the players to demonstrate skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
The tournament was played on 9th and 11th December.
KEY RESULTS
• Sub-Junior Boys: Arifeen triumphed over Ehsan. • Junior Boys: Syed Hannad Ali defeated Haseeb. • Senior Men’s Category: Shahid Shanawz triumphed over Faisal Suleh Hayat. • Under-11 Girls: Rabiya Fayaz defeated Daifa. • Sub-Junior Girls: Toiba Jan defeated Rahi Jan. • Junior Girls: Rutba Gulzar emerged victorious against Aanisa Ahad. • Senior Women: Hurmat outplayed Rabida.
CLOSING CEREMONY
The valedictory ceremony, held at the Indoor Stadium Rajpora, was graced by Mr. Mohd Iqbal, Incharge Indoor Stadium Rajpora.
In his address, he highlighted the crucial role of sports in promoting physical and mental well-being and urged students to participate actively in sports for holistic development.
Dr. Faisal Suleh Hayat also commended the efforts of the J&K Table Tennis Association, J&K Sports Council, and the Pulwama District Table Tennis Association for organizing a well-coordinated and vibrant sporting event.
Trophies and medals were distributed to the winners and runners-up by Mr. Iqbal and (Dr.) Faisal Suleh Hayat.
Official Arbaz Amin (International Umpire) was also present alongside the Organising Secretary and District Association President Mohd Shafi.
