| Human Rights Day Celebrated at High Court Premises, Jammu | | Jammu, December 10 (Scoop News)- On the occasion of Human Rights Day, the BJP Human Rights Cell, Jammu & Kashmir, organized a significant gathering at the High Court premises, Jammu, where a large number of advocates, social activists, party workers, and citizens assembled to reaffirm their commitment to the protection and promotion of human rights.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Sh. Rajesh Thappa, Advocate, Convenor, BJP Human Rights Cell, and was attended by Sh. Sarfraz Hamid Rather, Advocate, Co-Convenor, Sh. Arvind Khajuria, along with several senior advocates, social activists, and party workers.
The gathering emphasized that human rights are inseparable from constitutional values, and that the dignity, liberty, and equality of every citizen must be safeguarded at all times. The presence of legal professionals at the High Court premises added symbolic strength to the resolve for justice and accountability.
Addressing the gathering, the BJP Human Rights Cell highlighted that the right to life, shelter, health, livelihood, and equality before law are fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of India, and any neglect or violation of these rights must be firmly resisted.
Special reference was made to the recent hardships faced by the people due to natural calamities, displacement, and livelihood crises, emphasizing that disaster situations also raise serious human rights concerns which demand prompt and compassionate administrative action.
The BJP Human Rights Cell reaffirmed its commitment to:
Protect the rights of the vulnerable, marginalized, women, children, and elderly.
Raise its voice against injustice, abuse, and discrimination.
Promote public awareness about rights and duties to strengthen democracy.
