| Police arrests Long-Time Absconder in Baramulla | |
Srinagar, December 09 (Scoop News)- In a significant action, Police in Baramulla arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest in two separate cases registered at Police Station Uri.
The accused identified as Khursheed Ahmad Naik Son of Gh. Nabi Naik, resident of Garkote, was wanted in case FIR No. 46/2016 U/S 379, 109 RPC and FIR No. 45/2020 U/S 366, 376 IPC. Acting on specific information, a dedicated police team from PS Uri conducted a late-night raid in Garkote area and successfully arrested the absconder.
The accused has been taken into custody and was produced before the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings.
The arrest of the long-evading accused highlights the sustained efforts of J&K Police to bring fugitives to justice. Police reiterates its resolve to ensure that no offender escapes the reach of law, and such actions will continue in the future.
