| CPO Leh Reviews Progress of Vibrant Village Programme | | Leh, December 03 (Scoop News)-A review meeting on the implementation of the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP-I) was chaired today by Chief Planning Officer Leh, Tsewang Gyalson, at the VC Room of the DC Office, Leh.
The meeting aimed to assess the physical and financial progress of projects sanctioned under VVP-I and convergence, along with reviewing the uploading of geo-tagged photographs on the Digital VVP-I portal. The agenda also included the clearance of pending queries, status of new project proposals and discussion of other related issues.
During the meeting, the CPO Leh directed all departments to upload status of the works and site photographs on the portal, emphasising that geo-tagged documentation is essential for verifying project status. He further instructed officers to prepare estimates for signage and selfie points at tourist locations to enhance visitor experience in Vibrant Village areas and to submit the DPRs of other required interventions in the villages.
He noted that while some project proposals have been received, departments must prioritise essential works and submit DPRs for projects that are urgently required for further submission to Ministry. The CPO Leh also instructed officers to review the status of approved projects at their departmental level and ensure timely execution and completion of pending works.
Officers raised several doubts and queries, which were addressed by the CPO. He encouraged them to certify completed works within their jurisdiction, ensure proper utilisation of funds, and submit bills strictly as per the works execution. ... |
