Div Com Kashmir chairs meeting with DCs
Reviews Progress on Multiple Administrative Matters

Srinagar, December 03 (Scoop News)- Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, chaired a meeting with all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to review the progress on several important matters, including appointments under SRO-43 for families of terror victims, implementation of self-employment schemes, land transfer cases involving security agencies, and construction of houses for families affected by terrorism and cross-border shelling.

The meeting also assessed the status of under-construction BSNL towers, public grievance disposal, and revision of stamp duty rates across districts.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioners apprised the Divisional Commissioner of the current status of all pending and ongoing cases in their respective districts.

The Divisional Commissioner directed the DCs to expedite the processing of SRO-43 cases to ensure timely appointments for eligible family members of terror victims. He also emphasized the need to motivate affected families, including minorities, to take full benefit of available self-employment schemes.

Issuing separate instructions regarding land transfer cases to security agencies, Garg asked the DCs to strictly adhere to the relevant provisions of land mutation laws.

He further instructed the officers to prioritize the disposal of public grievances received through the e-office platform.

Reviewing the progress on BSNL tower installation in shadow zones, the Div Com directed DCs to ensure timely completion of all related works.

Also, the Deputy Commissioners of Budgam, Baramulla, Srinagar, and Bandipora were asked to adopt a uniform policy for relocation of transmission poles affected by the Ring Road alignment.

Garg also instructed the officers to club families of terror victims with those affected by cross-border shelling for providing benefits under the housing construction scheme.

With respect to annual revision of Stamp Duty, the Div Com called for changes in considering market rates and land acquisition issues.
