Khaltse, Ladakh, December 02 (Scoop News)- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today convened a significant general meeting in Khaltse to further consolidate the party’s presence and organizational activities across the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The meeting was chaired by Tashi Gyaltson Khachu, State President, Bhartiya Janata Party, UT Ladakh, and was held in the presence of Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization) Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, and Tashi Gyaltson, Former Chairman, LAHDC Leh.
The gathering witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Ex-Councillor of the Sham region, Presidents of Leh and Sham District BJP units, District Executives, and Presidents of the Mahila, Yuva, and Kissan Morchas. Discussions centered on strengthening grassroots outreach, enhancing public connect, and accelerating development-driven initiatives for the region.
A major highlight of the meeting was the formal induction of Rinchen Tundup of Lamayouru, a former active member of the Leh Congress, into the BJP. Deeply inspired by the transformative development, unprecedented pace of infrastructure growth, and visionary governance brought by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tundup expressed his confidence in the BJP’s commitment toward Ladakh’s progress and joined the party.
Welcoming him, State President Tashi Gyaltson Khachu said that the BJP is expanding in every village and every corner of Ladakh because people trust Prime Minister Modi’s vision. The joining of experienced leaders like Rinchen Tundup adds strength to our mission of ensuring all-round development and delivering responsive governance to the people. He added that the party is fully committed to addressing local concerns with transparency and dedication. He reaffirmed the party’s unwavering commitment to the welfare, empowerment, and future of Ladakh, emphasizing that the BJP will continue working tirelessly to meet the aspirations of the people.
Addressing the meeting, General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul stated that the BJP’s organizational structure in Ladakh is growing stronger by the day. Our focus is on strengthening the booth, empowering local workers, and ensuring that government schemes reach every household. Leaders joining us from other parties reflects the people’s overwhelming faith in the BJP’s policies and developmental agenda. He also expressed satisfaction over the constructive and the proactive involvement of district executives and morcha representatives.
