| J&K Police arrests 02 long term absconders in Awantipora | |
Srinagar, December 01 (Scoop News)- J&K Police Awantipora have arrested 02 absconders who were evading their arrest for last 23 years.
J&K Police in Awantipora received non-bailable warrants under section 299 CrPC/ 335 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita issued by the Hon’ble Principal Session Court Pulwama against two absconders namely Ishaq Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh resident of Chersoo & Farooq Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohd Dar resident of Reshipora. The absconders were involved in Case FIR No 85/2002 of Police Station Awantipora.
Accordingly, a special team headed by SHO PS Awantipora under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora was constituted and the accused persons were arrested from different areas. Subsequently, the arrested accused were produced before the Hon’ble Court of Law.
The arrest reflects the sustained efforts of J&K Police in tracking down long-term fugitives. J&K Police reiterates its commitment to ensuring that no offender escapes the reach of law, and such actions will continue in the future.
