| Khatana Concludes Three-Day Tour with Public Darbar at BJP Office Srinagar, Kashmir | | Srinagar, November 28 (Scoop News)- Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Gulam Ali Khatana today concluded his three-day high-impact tour of Kashmir by holding a major public darbar at the BJP Party Office in Srinagar. A large number of people from various sections of society—including traders, youth, women, Sikh community representatives, transport workers, and senior citizens—attended and presented their grievances.
During the darbar, Khatana patiently heard public concerns and resolved several issues on the spot. He instructed officials to provide immediate relief and emphasized that bureaucratic delays, file-rotation, and administrative negligence must end. He warned that unnecessary file-rotation and bureaucratic delay will no longer be tolerated, especially when people are facing hardship. He stressed that officers must work in mission mode to ensure timely redressal.
A delegation from the Sikh community met Khatana and raised a serious issue related to safety and misidentification during recent events. Taking strong note, Khatana directed the Executive Police and Railway Police, Nowgam Srinagar, to act with fairness and accountability, clearly stating that “the guilty must not be spared, and no harm should come to the innocent.” Similarly, a delegation from the Nowgam Railway Station Auto Union highlighted problems related to daily operations, harassment, and enforcement irregularities. Khatana directed the concerned police officials to immediately resolve all genuine issues of the auto union and ensure smooth, hassle-free functioning for their members.
Khatana reminded officers that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance model emphasizes speed, transparency, and last-mile delivery. He stated that every Central Sponsored Scheme and every rupee from the public exchequer must reach the ground level without delay, especially to the poorest and most vulnerable sections.
The public darbar witnessed an overwhelming response, with people expressing satisfaction over Khatana’s direct interventions and his accessible leadership approach. Many attendees appreciated the fact that their grievances were addressed instantly and transparently.
Khatana assured that such public outreach programmes will continue across Kashmir to ensure people-centric, transparent, and accountable governance. He reaffirmed his commitment that no citizen will be left unheard and every genuine issue will be resolved with urgency.
