| J&K Police organises Kabaddi Tournament in Ganderbal | | Srinagar, November 25 (Scoop News)- In connection with the commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, J&K Police organised a Kabaddi Tournament at Government Girls High School, Preng.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by SSP Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal–JKPS, accompanied by SDPO Kangan, Shri Rajeev Raina–JKPS. In his inaugural address, the SSP highlighted the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in shaping modern India and emphasised the importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and youth engagement. He encouraged the participants to stay focused on productive activities and uphold the values of unity and sportsmanship.
Multiple teams from Sub-Division Kangan took part in the competition, displaying exceptional skill, enthusiasm, and competitive spirit. The final match was played between New Generation Kijpora and Preng, in which New Generation Kijpora emerged victorious after a spirited contest. At the conclusion of the event, Trophies and Certificates were awarded to the winning and runner-up teams for their impressive performances.
J&K Police reiterated its commitment to promoting sports and youth-oriented initiatives across the district to strengthen community ties and encourage healthy engagement among the younger generation.
