Ashok Koul leads Birsa Munda Jayanti, Vande Mataram programmes in Bhaderwah, Doda
DPAP senior leader Sanjay Manhas along with supporters joins BJP



Bhaderwah/Doda, November 20 (Scoop News)-Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir observed the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Bhaderwah (Doda), paying rich tributes to the iconic tribal freedom fighter whose legacy continues to inspire nationalistic commitment, social reforms, and the fight against oppression.

J&K BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul chaired the programme. Later, he also attended a Vande Mataram programme at Tilligarh (Bhaderwah Mandal), District Doda.

State Secretary & Doda Prabhari Pawan Sharma, DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal, MLA Bhaderwah Daleep Singh Parihar, Vipan Sharma and other senior leaders of party also accompanied Ashok Koul during these programmes.

On the occasion, DPAP senior leader Sanjay Manhas, joined the BJP along with dozens of DPAP workers in the presence of Ashok Koul. Welcoming them, Koul said the BJP’s expanding footprint is testimony to the trust people place in the party’s policies and transparent governance.

Addressing the gathering, Ashok Koul said that Bhagwan Birsa Munda is not merely a historical figure but a symbol of India’s civilizational resilience. He said that Birsa Munda awakened a spirit of self-respect, cultural identity, and nationalism among the oppressed. He said that the struggle against injustice remains a guiding force for every Indian. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation is honouring Birsa Munda’s contributions through policies empowering the tribal communities and preserving India’s indigenous heritage.

While attending Vande Mataram programme under the ongoing “Vande Mataram @150 series, Ashok Koul emphasized the importance of patriotic awakening and societal harmony.

Pawan Sharma said that Birsa Munda’s life is a beacon of courage, sacrifice, and service to society. He added that the growing acceptance of BJP in the region reflects the developmental transformation brought by the Modi government.

Dhananter Singh Kotwal congratulated the new entrants and said that BJP’s organizational strength in the region will gain further momentum with committed workers joining hands to serve the people.

Daleep Singh Parihar stated that the BJP’s growth in Bhaderwah is people-driven, development-oriented, and rooted in nationalism. He said that Birsa Munda’s message of standing firm for one’s rights must continue to inspire the youth of the region.
