Jammu, November 18 (Scoop News)-The recent assembly by-elections in Budgam and Nagrota have once again underscored the rapidly changing political landscape in Jammu & Kashmir. With the PDP clinching the Budgam seat, causing a significant setback to the National Conference (NC), and the BJP decisively retaining its stronghold in Nagrota, the people of J&K have delivered a clear message: the era of dynastic dominance is coming to an end.
Reacting to the results, Pawan Sharma, State Secretary, BJP Jammu & Kashmir, said that the bypoll outcomes reflect a deep and growing disenchantment with parties that have ruled J&K for decades through family-driven politics while failing to deliver results on the ground.
“The National Conference is clearly losing ground. Their internal rifts, now surfacing publicly with their own leaders blaming a sitting MP for the defeat, show that the party is collapsing under the weight of its own contradictions. The people of J&K no longer trust a party that is busy protecting dynasties instead of protecting public interests,” Sharma stated.
He further asserted that the BJP’s continued success in Nagrota demonstrates that the people recognize the party’s commitment to stability, transparent governance, and long-term development. “The BJP is not here to rule; we are here to serve. Our focus is on empowering youth, strengthening infrastructure, creating employment, and restoring political and economic confidence in J&K.”
Sharma emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jammu & Kashmir has witnessed unprecedented transformations, from the expansion of road and rail networks to enhanced security, investment opportunities, and the rise of grassroots democracy free from elite control.
“The bypolls are just the beginning. J&K is moving toward a future where development, merit, and transparency will replace dynastic privilege. The people have realized that the BJP is the only party with a clear vision and the resolve to deliver it.”
Sharma called upon the citizens of J&K to continue supporting the party that is working tirelessly for peace, prosperity, and progress. “Together, we will build a new Jammu & Kashmir - strong, stable, and self-reliant.”
