Police Conducts Comprehensive Checking of Fertilizer and Chemical Shops In Ganderbal & Awantipora
Srinagar, November 16 (Scoop News)- In continuation of its efforts to prevent misuse of agricultural chemicals and to ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, Police conducted comprehensive inspection drives of fertilizer and chemical shops in Ganderbal and Awantipora.

The surprise checkings were carried out by teams from various Police Stations under the supervision of senior officers. The inspection aimed to verify stock records, sale registers, licenses, storage conditions, and adherence to safety protocols in order to curb any possibility of illegal diversion or misuse of fertilizers and chemicals for unlawful activities.

During these drives, shopkeepers were sensitized about maintaining proper documentation, following mandatory guidelines, and cooperating with law-enforcement agencies in monitoring suspicious bulk purchases. Police also emphasized the importance of ensuring that restricted chemicals are sold strictly as per norms.

Police reiterated its commitment to maintaining public safety, preventing misuse of regulated materials, and promoting lawful business practices. Such inspection drives will continue in the coming days to strengthen oversight and ensure compliance across all units dealing with sensitive materials.

Police appeals to the public and traders to cooperate and report any suspicious activity to the nearest Police Station.
