| Shiv Sena Hindustan condemns narco-terrorism, torches effigy of Pakistan | |
Bishnah,November 16 (Scoop News)- Members of Shiv Sena Hindustan, led by Jammu Kashmir President Pt Rajesh Kesri, today torched an effigy of Pakistan in Laswara village, Bishnah Block, to condemn the country's involvement in narco-terrorism. The event was attended by Balvir Kumar, Border President, Sanjeev Sharma, Rajkumar, Balwant Saini, Suresh Kumar, Satpal, Darshana Devi, Vijay Devi, and other Shiv Sena members.
Addressing the media, Kesri highlighted the growing concern of heroin being dropped through drones in border areas, particularly in Punjab and Jammu Kashmir, and the increasing connections between locals and Pakistan. He cited recent cases, including the arrest of Shakeel Ahmed in Akhnoor, who had Pakistani numbers on his phone, and similar instances in Kathua and Nawanshahr.
Kesri emphasized that Pakistan is targeting educated youth, including doctors and engineers, and lusting them into terrorism through narcotics and other means. He criticized some local politicians for supporting such elements and making statements that undermine the efforts of law enforcement agencies. Kesri said a majority of the drugs were being smuggled from across the Line of Control (LoC). “It is narco-terrorism which our neighbouring country is trying to spread in the state and is trying to ruin lives of our youth.
"The recent example of a doctor in Delhi, who was earning around 2 lakhs per month and was lured into terrorism, is a stark reminder of the threat we face," Kesri said. "It's essential for agencies to do their job and for politicians to refrain from making statements that embolden these elements." Kesri maintained that neighbouring Pakistan is resorting to narco-terrorism in J&K, which is aimed at ruining the lives of youth of J&K. “I feel some agencies with ill-intentions towards J&K are involved in it. They are doing it to fund terrorism,” he maintained.
