JKATA (Jammu) hails transfer of Agricultural Extension Assistants and JAEO
Jammu, November 15 (Scoop News)-The Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA), Working Committee Jammu, convened a meeting today under the chairmanship of Shri Gurmeet Singh. The meeting witnessed the presence of core committee members, including President Vinod Sharma, along with senior office bearers of the Association who actively participated in the discussions.
The session was further honoured by the presence of JKEJAC(R) President Sh. Babu Hussain and Sr. Harmeet Singh, Senior Vice President JKEJAC(R), who joined as special guests. They shared valuable guidance aimed at strengthening the welfare, unity, and professional stature of Agriculture Technocrats across the Union Territory.
Prominent JKATA members, including Sh. Harmeet Singh, Vice President JKATA (Jammu); Sh. R.D. Bali; Dr. Narinder Singh; Rajesh Gupta; Satvinder Singh; and Amit Gupta, attended the meeting in person. Members from various districts across the Jammu Division also joined the proceedings through video conferencing, ensuring wider participation and representation.
During the meeting, the Working Committee discussed the recently issued transfer order No. 135-DAJ of 2025 dated 15-11-2025, released by the Directorate of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Jammu, pertaining to the transfer and posting of JAEOS/AEAs. The Association welcomed and appreciated the transfer order, describing it as a transparent, balanced, and administratively progressive step that will improve departmental functioning and strengthen extension services.
The committee observed that the reshuffle reflects equitable and need-based staff deployment, which will ultimately enhance field-level service delivery to farmers. They noted that such timely administrative measures will improve efficiency, accountability, and overall morale of frontline technical staff engaged in agricultural development.
The Working Committee expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Directorate of Agriculture Production & FW, Jammu, for issuing a well-structured and considerate transfer order that aligns with the interests of both the department and the farming community. They also reaffirmed their commitment, in coordination with JKEJAC(R), to continue working for the welfare, rights, and professional growth of Agriculture Technocrats.
JKATA (Jammu) urged all transferred officials to take charge of their new assignments with dedication, sincerity, and renewed enthusiasm, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism in serving the farmers of the region.
