DC Samba spearheads comprehensive development initiative at historic Purmandal Temple Shrine
Samba, November 14 (Scoop News)-In a significant administrative outreach, Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan conducted an intensive public engagement programme at the revered Shiv Mandir in Purmandal today, marking a decisive step toward addressing long-standing developmental challenges and preserving the region’s rich cultural heritage.

The programme witnessed overwhelming participation from local residents, community representatives and DDC Members who presented their concerns regarding basic amenities, infrastructure deficiencies and the urgent need for heritage conservation.

Demonstrating responsive governance, the Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to all stakeholders and assured swift, coordinated action through PHE, PWD, PDD, RDD and other line agencies.

Underlining the administration’s commitment to holistic development, Ms. Sudan issued comprehensive directives to restore road connectivity on priority, ensure uninterrupted power supply particularly around the temple complex and residential areas and strengthen sanitation measures to bolster the region’s spiritual tourism potential.

Recognizing Purmandal’s significance as a pilgrimage destination, she instructed departments to install protective sheds near the Mandir for pilgrim convenience and expedite borewell facilities to guarantee adequate drinking water availability.

To preserve the religious and cultural legacy, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the restoration of historical ghats, ancient temples, and heritage structures, asserting that safeguarding Purmandal’s historical identity constitutes a collective responsibility that demands immediate institutional attention.

Concluding the outreach with a resolute commitment to developmental acceleration, Ms. Sudan assured residents and public representatives that their concerns have been comprehensively documented and immediate follow-up action has been mandated across all concerned departments, reinforcing the administration’s dedication to improving public services and infrastructure in this culturally significant region.
